This was enabled by Storage Engine's, In Service Upgrade Program (IS-UP) designed for finding ways to help users replace, update and remove obsolete product while cutting the costs of maintenance on an annual basis. Storage Engine Demonstrates Data Storage IP over IB
Tinton Falls, NJ--- December 10, 2008: Storage Engine, a leading provider of enterprise data storage solutions, in a joint test with multiple vendors for a major metropolitan rapid area transist system, proved the viability of leveraging high speed infiniband for complete application transparent failover of virtual machines within a metropolitan area. Infiniband was used as the IO and replication interface to provide high speed and low latency across 10 miles of dark fiber to achieve complete storage and server virtualization across geographical distance, enabling any disruption to be self healing and automatic across any location. We believe the solution will show the adoption of infiniband, coupled with virtualization of both servers and storage, will turn the notion of high cost Business Continuity Disaster Recovery on its ear. Storage Engine Completes Move for 25TB of Sensitive Legal Data
Tinton Falls, NJ--- January 31, 2008: Storage Engine Inc. announced today that it has completed a successful move of sensitive legal data in New York City. Due to the growing needs of this government agency, they had outgrown their current data center which required a physical move to a new undisclosed location. Storage Engine was engaged by this agency and successfully moved the legal and confidential government data of this government agency, efficiently and effectively for all their 25TB of data and equipment over one weekend without disruption and while controlling the chain of custody on their sensitive confidential data.
The system was brought down on Friday and went live Sunday, users were never impacted during working hours. Storage Engine, was pleased to have enabled this to be a seamless transition while continuing to provide safeguards to ensure the safekeeping of their confidential data.
